[Anyone who knows Scar or has spoken to him before will recognize his voice. But he's sounding... a little worn out. Frazzled. The tiny mews of a dazed Espurr can be heard in the background, along with the steady thumps of something far more solid than rain hitting the hotel roof.]

The Pokémon that are falling out of the sky. Do not unfold their ears. Just... don't.

...I'm... kind of glad I woke up to all the public service announcements instead of figuring it out for myself... but now I'm kinda wishing I'd taken one for the team, instead!

Oh, yeah! But they seem fine as long as nobody touches their ears, so I guess that's what I have to look out for...

I'm glad it... isn't, like, brain destroying or anything. That would be bad...

It could be, I don't know. Her ears weren't even entirely lifted, I think I only got a fraction of it.

...oh, dang, that's... really something. Well, uh, that's one thing I won't be testing out!

At least not when you're already a safe distance apart. I'm certain they would use it for a self defense mechanism.

Well, if you're packing some serious power, you might as well use it to try and protect yourself!

...I'm hoping they get that we're all trying to help them out, though.

The one who has tagged along with me understands that. She seems more frightened of herself than I was.

Wow, that's... just kind of sad, thinking about it. I mean, an endearing kind of sad. Like you want to tape their ears shut so they don't have to worry about accidentally melting anyone's brain ever again.

I am not going to tape her ears down... There is no way it is healthy for her to keep it bundled like that constantly.

My greatest hope is that she learns better restraint when she is older, or when she evolves.

...yeah, now that I'm thinking about it, that wouldn't get too comfy. Still, I kind of wish there was another way to help the little guys out with that. Even if it gets better later, that doesn't really help out now, you know?

No, it doesn't, but there is little else to be done in the meantime. There is not even any readily available documented information on these creatures.

Yeah, and that is just super weird! I mean, don't the little PokeGear encyclopedia things know everything!? Aren't there scientists working on this...?

A machine can only possibly know what its creators know. So if nobody has even heard of this species, the 'Gear isn't going to have anything about it, either.

Haha, oh, right... Well, I'm surprised they don't know! Then again, I guess even people who've lived here all their lives don't really expect kittens to suddenly fall out of the sky.
