I made a vegetable stir fry last night that wasn't awful. The rice was too sticky, but it was edible.

[She's quiet a moment.]

I miss you.

[It's more clear an expression of emotion and affection than she's usually comfortable with, but she's low and emotional right now. And she does miss him. Especially right now.]
