Is there actually a purpose to this second chance?]

I am curious. Do you view coming here as a bump in the road, or as a second chance for something?

[Because let's be real this can't possibly just be a giant afterlife serial killer rehab universe.]

Were we brought here for a purpose? For our own benefit?

There was a frightful incident with a pack of Shedinja a few years back, so I am told. But violence seems to be, for the most part, scattered and irregular, whether it be perpetrated by people or Pokémon.

Something about people temporarily losing their souls. I did not believe it at first, because it seemed so ill-suited to this world.

Mildly so, yes. They are fascinating creatures, but this world truly does seem to revolve around them.
