The small, violet cats that fell out of the sky in September... Is there a species name for them, yet?

[Yes, he's talking about the Pokémon who accidentally blasted him into a wall a couple of months ago. Scar's tone is thoughtful. Truth be told, he's a bit worried about her. Keshet is jumpy, nervous, and very reserved.]

The one who grew attached to me was heavily shaken from whatever it was that brought them here, and she doesn't seem to have recovered from it. She is hesitant to use her abilities and doesn't seem comfortable with her situation regardless of what I do.

[And yes, he's looking for Pokétherapy advice.]

I'm... not certain how to help.

[Gundam doesn't have one of those, but he'll try and help. He feels obligated to, anyway.]

Tell me, what have you tried so far to comfort your poor creature?

I see, so you've taken care of the basics. A commendable start, but have you tried reassuring her that everything is okay? Often reassuring incantations can do more to dispel an aura of shock and fear than anything else.

Not to worry, admitting your shortcomings in this matter shows that you are capable of overcoming them.

[That was actually a compliment for now.]

I would suggest continuing to try, your skills may improve with time. But for the time being, I would simply pay attention to it. Learn what interests her, what frightens her. By doing these, and acting accordingly, the path to understanding may be illuminated.

Yes, that's to be expected. Like with humans, after a traumatic event, the spirit may take long to recover.

[And there's nothing that can really be done about that.]

I would advise continuing to do as I have outlined. Speak with her, accentuate things that she seems to enjoy, obliterate things that cause her trauma, and over time, she may recover. Even if she remains as she is now, if you do these, some sort of understanding between you and her will be reached eventually.

[That's a metaphorical obliterate in case it wasn't clear.]

If you need assistance with any of these things, I will be so inclined as to assist you. But remember that the bond between Pokemon and trainer, as I understand it, is forged on a personal level. No matter what assistance I may provide, it is up to you and her to create it.

[...wow Gundam, that was almost deep. Almost.]

[It's both, Scar. Definitely both.]

As I said, time and the rituals I have outlined should hopefully mend that wound. Should they fail, simply call on Gundam Tanaka, and I will render what assistance I can.

[A pause.]

Though take heed, for such names should not be uttered needlessly.
