The one who grew attached to me was heavily shaken from whatever it was that brought them here, and she doesn't seem to have recovered from it. She is hesitant to use her abilities and doesn't seem comfortable with her situation regardless of what I do.

Have you tried encouraging her to use her abilities in a safe setting? Like, arranging so there won't be anything but maybe some trash cans or something that she'd be affecting. Or...hm. I could bring Jack and Jill over, maybe speaking to one of her own kind will help a bit.

Speaking to others of her kind might be helpful. From what I have heard, they are a more solitary species, but...

[Al doesn't take long to grab the few things he needs, and with Jack and Jill both out of their balls and toddling along, he makes his way over to the Pokemon Center.]

[Scar is there quickly, Keshet the tiny ball of trauma curled up on his shoulders. They're both on a bench when Al arrives, and Scar's frown relaxes some when Al approaches. He gives a nod in greeting.]

[Al waves back, Jack and Jill toddling along behind him as he walks over. The two Espurr hop up onto the bench beside Scar and proceed to...well, stare at him, and then at Keshet.] Hi! Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long.
