[Scar is discovering the magic of nightblogging. Perhaps not the best idea in the world, but his conversation with Ib a while back has left him thinking.

Is there actually a purpose to this second chance?]

I am curious. Do you view coming here as a bump in the road, or as a second chance for something?

[Because let's be real this can't possibly just be a giant afterlife serial killer rehab universe.]

Were we brought here for a purpose? For our own benefit?

Perhaps, but a local population of about a hundred isn't a city like Goldenrod make. I know they use pokemon for manual labour, but to build something as large as the Radio Tower would still be a lot of pokemon labour. It makes me wonder.

Life here isn't entirely carefree. There IS the part about this place where it seems to break or transform into something entirely different at random times with no real reason. But I can't go through life constantly preparing for what I cannot predict. I could if I was back home; that's actually the bulk of what I do. But I don't have the resources available to me that I have back where I am from, so I can't handle this like I would.

Of course, this goes for all of us otherworlders: we're in a situation that doesn't match anything we've ever known. I suppose if I took it a day at a time, life here could be carefree, but that's not how I was created nor how my mind works. I can be bored with the day to day, but I'm not carefree.

Back in my world, we couldn't build anything like the Radio Tower until not much more than a hundred years ago, and it took thousands of people to make the structure feasible as well as to construct it. As the biggest industry here seems to be battle prize system, I have to admit I'm really suspicious of where all the industry must be kept. I'm pretty sure this place doesn't run on magic, although I've been told otherwise.

[France cares a lot about this. Sorry, Scar, you've become his sounding board.]

One thing I do like about this place is that we're allowed to travel pretty much anywhere so long as it's on a map. It makes me remember times back home when I used to go exploring.
