In my time here, I have come to find that there are a great many "worlds" that are home to people who wouldn't be considered human, but experience the same depth of thought and range of emotion.

[Even he can make that conclusion, now.]

In that case, what is humanity? A measure of physical traits? A state of mind? Something into which one must be born?

If it were a simple answer, I would not have asked. It is too convoluted, to be simply reasoned through by one person.

If it helps at all, I prefer to think of everybody as human if they've got human parents.

Then what of a person who has been so twisted and warped that they are no longer what was born to their parents?

Sorry, bad question...

What I meant was, if someone else did it to them, then they can't really be blamed for it, right? So if they still want to be thought of as human, then they should.

And if they did it to themselves, then they know what they want, so they probably have their own opinion on the matter.

Either way, though, unless they decide against it, they were born human, so I'd treat them that way.
